I am wanting to learn the craft of photography mostly for person enjoyment. I have been interested in photography since I was in high school but never really took it seriously. It was back in 2017 that I bought a DSLR before my wife and I took one of our annual trips out to the wine country in Northern California. I thought at that time that because I have a good camera that I was going to start taking great photos. I learned very quickly that was not true. I want to get as much right in the camera that I can. All of the photos that I upload to the Photography page will be unedited. The only thing that I will do is if I take a series of photos that I intend for it to be a panoramic photo I will stitch them together in Lightroom. I hope by creating this site that it will make me get out and explore the areas that I am in weather that is at home or when I am traveling. I also hope that I might be able to meet some people that I can learn from or maybe someone else is in the same place that I am and we can help each other on this journey.

My goal is to post my favorite 10 to 15 photos that I have taken that month and it will give me a place that I can quickly review my images to see if I am make any progress. I would like to get some feedback and suggestions on what I can do to improve my photography. I will post some of the photos that I edit on this site under the Gallery page as well as my Instagram account www.instagram.com/rj2photo. I hope that you will follow along with me on this journey.
